Game : Who’s quicker?
- Divide the class into four groups.
- Prepare some songs such as: Happy new year, Jingle bell, Ruoc den ong sao, Happy birthday,….
- Have s.s listen to the song, one by one, which group has the answer raise their hand to give the name of the song..
- The group with more correct names will be the winner.
- Check with the whole class on the board.

Setting the scene:
You are going to read a passage about Tet holiday in Vietnam. While you are reading, do the tasks in the textbook.
Activity 1: Finding the meanings of the words.
- Write the words on the board.
- Have s.s read the text quicky and stop at the lines that contain these words to guess their meanings.
- Note that s.s may base their guessing on other words.
Call some s.s to give their answers and check in front of the class as a whole

Activity 2 : True/False statements
Ask s.s to read the text carefully and decide wether the following sentences are true or false.
Call some s.s to give the answers and explain their answers.
Check with the class.
Activity 3: Wh-questions (lucky Numbers)
Ask s.s to work in 2 groups and play the game Lucky Number( there are 3 lucky numbers in the grid) to do task 2, p.68.
Call on some group representatives to report their ideas.
-Give feddback on what s.s has done.
Discussion.
Ask s.s to work in group of 5 .
Ask s.s to tell each other aboy their last Tet holiday, focussing on the following points:
How you prepared for Tet.
How you decorated your house
Who you visited…
Go around the class to contol and give help.
