Give s.s 2 minutes to read task 1 carefully.
Ask s.s to listen to the tape twice and circle the best answers.
Get s.s to compare their answers with their partner.
Check the answer with the whole class.If many students cannot answer the question,play the tape once or more times pause at the answer for them to catch.
Activity 2: Questions – Answers
- Check if s.s can answer the questios in task 2 with listening again.
- Have s.s read through the questions, underlining the key words.
- Let s.s to listen to the tape again to answer the questions by noting down the answers (only main points).
- Check with the whole class.
Role play:
Have s.s play the role of an interviewer and an athletes who has just taken part in Asian Games. He or she has just set a new record or has just failed the competition.
Interview him/her to ask aboute his/her preparation for the games, his/her experiences…, the feeling after the moment…
Call on some pairs to act out the conservation in front of the class.
