A. Pronunciation:
- ask ss to pronounce the words: fiction and view
- introduce two sounds: /f / and / v/.
- give some words and ask ss to put the words in the right column: fan, van, Stephen, photograph, enough, leave, fiction, form, view, vote, first, vine,

- give feedback
- play the tape, ask ss to listen and repeat.
-practise two sounds
-practise the sentences.

Adjectives of attitude:
- ask: Who can give me other adjectives of amuse?
- ask ss to make sentences with amusing/ amused
- ask: How can you make these adjectives of amuse?
- ask: amusing is passive or active? / amused is active or passive?
- Set: V+ing ( adjective : active
V+ ed ( adjective : passive
* Exercise 1:
-give some flashcards with words: fascinate/ excite/ terrify/ irritate/ horrify/ bore/ surprise/ amuse/ embarrass/ frustrate.
- ask ss to give out the adjectives (-ing form)
- give feedback.
* Exercise 2:
-ask ss to work in pairs, using an adjective ending –ing/ -ed form of verb to complete the sentence.
- ask ss to speak out their answers.
- give feedback.
It was not until…..that:
- say: I didn’t know how to cook until I was 18.
I didn’t know how to cook until 2002.
- ask ss to say the sentence in another way without changing the meaning.
- give feedback.
- ask ss to give the formula of the sentences:

- ask ss about the meaning of the sentence with “It was not until + (S+ V)/ ( time) + that…………”
