 -Play a game. Divide into two teams.
-give ss some words which are indicated by letters and dashes

A: Comparatives:
- show pictures( a 16 years old girl and a 20 years old boy)
-ask: How old is she?
How old is he?
-ask: What can you say about two people?

-show two different pens
-say: The red pen is 2,000 Vietnamese Dong
The blue pen is 1,500 Vietnamese Dong
-ask; What can you say about two pens?
-set the formula:
Short adjective: adj. + er……….than……
Long adjective: more + adj……than…….
B: Superlatives:
-say: there are 5 people in my family, my parents, my older sister, my older brother and me.
-ask: What can you say about me?


-show 3 pens, say:
The red pen is 2,000 Vietnamese Dong
The blue pen is 1,500 Vietnamese Dong
The black pen is 2,500 Vietnamese Dong
-point to the black pen and ask: What can you say about this pen?
-set the formula:
Short adjective: The + adj. + est
Long adjective: The most + adj.
* Usage: comparatives and superlatives are used to make comparison.
